A shifting bookcase serves as a metaphor for an evolving city. The image of a book being hand-picked from the shelf and being instantly and automatically replaced in its position by another book. This simulation takes a full 10-minute cycle which, when completed, would start another cycle all over again without ending covering all 3 shelves.
