Arenas Adriana

Adriana Arenas is a Pereira born artist who currently resides in New York City. Her work, much of it produced during her travels back and forth, attests to the condition of inhabiting a space that is neither here nor there, but rather a space "in between". Although filled with iconographic sources that refer back to what Euridice Arratia has argued as "cultural identity...based solely on geographical specificity, "her work disrupts the sort of facile narratives that migt lend themselves to a set of tired cliches about nostalgia and memory.
