Carolyn Kane

Carolyn Kane's video and electronic art work is concerned with issues of affect and new technologies. Ranging from the tension felt in a simple gesture to the politics of housing in NYC, her work always invokes the phenomena of mediation. She is writing her dissertation on Synthetic Color at New York University and her most recent video work reflects this theme.
