Chie Yamayoshi

Chie Yamayoshi, a Los Angeles-based video artist and filmmaker, was raised in Tokyo, Japan where she was a TV director and news reporter. After moving to the US under the Japanese Government Overseas Programme for Artists, Yamayoshi has attended the MFA program at UC Irvine and will also receive an MFA in Film and Video at CalArts. She has exhibited internationally at REDCAT Theater, Gallery Suzuki, Barnsdall Municipal Gallery, Collectif Jeune Cinema and Laguna Art Museum.
