Eileen Torpey

Eileen Torpey grew up in Oregon and she currently resides in New Jersey. She works in video, photgraphy, sculpture and installation. Her artwork is exhibited both nationally and internationally. In 1999 Torpey performed at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City. In 2001 she received a grant from the U.S. Embassy to install public art pieces in Reykjavik, Iceland and in 2001 she received a grant from the Geraldine Dodge Foundation. She received her B.A. from Lewis and CLark College in 1900 and her MFA from Mason Gross School of Arts in 2001.
