Bonita Makuch is an artist, independent media maker, and editor of reality television living in Los Angeles. After being raised on a dairy farm, she received her BFA from The Cooper Union and her MFA from the University of California at San Diego. Her eclectic body of work seeks to disrupt how narratives come to define us and our pleasures by exploring the intersection between the body and language. She has shown her work in International Film Festivals, galleries, and on television. Her recently completed feature documentary The Cucumber Incident premiered at The Museum of Modern Art and has aired several times on The Sundance Channel.
